Luis F. Apellaniz, M.D.
Dr. Apellaniz received his Medical Degree from the
University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine at San Juan in 1976. His Internship and
Residency training was at San Juan City Hospital from 1976 until 1979. He became a
Commissioned Officer of the National Health Service Corps from 1980 - 1985. While
there he served as the Pediatric Medical Director of the Loiza Health Center. In 1985, Dr.
Apellaniz opened a private practice in Puerto Rico that continued until his move to
Jennings in November 1990. In January 1991, he opened another private practice,
Jennings Pediatric Center. He practiced until March 1999, when he joined the
Children's Clinic. He lives in Jennings and has two children.
Dr. Luis, as most people refer to him, spends his free time
hunting, fishing, bowling or just being with his family.
